The RC was Win7 "Ultimate" so it seems you can only upgrade to the Ultimate final of Windows 7. Makes sense.

If you can't do an upgrade then yes, you'll have to wipe and reload. Of course you should be able to save your data and settings, but it's a reload of programs.

I did as you explained and ran the upgrade on my HP notebook yesterday afternoon. Walden, you D man... It went off without a hitch and appears to have done the trick. We'll know for sure in April if it's still working. Still have that annoying little label of eval copy at lower right corner of window. I covered it with the sticky notes gadget. Thankx bro.
